Olabode Agaja, DO

Description

Dr. Olabode Agaja is a board-certified pediatric sports medicine physician at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute. He serves as head team physician for Dillard University and Southern University of New Orleans, and provides medical coverage internationally for USA Water Polo, USA Amateur Boxing and high school athletics across the New Orleans region. Dr. Agaja also serves as medical director for Pediatric Special Olympics Louisiana, global faculty advisor for Special Olympics – Healthy Athletes, and senior lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he teaches medical students in clinical settings. He is an active member of Ochsner’s Concussion Management Program and is skilled in osteopathic manipulative sports medicine, diagnostic ultrasound, and advanced orthobiologic treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and prolotherapy. He has served as a sideline physician at major events including the USA Gymnastics Championships, World Aquatic Championships, Pan American Aquatic Championships, UFC, the HBCU Legacy Bowl and the HBCU All-Star Game. Outside of medicine, Dr. Agaja enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
